A 21-Year-Old's Journey of Self-Improvement: Update 1

During my teenage years, I always dreamt of one day doing something special and becoming someone extraordinary. I was always told that I too could do whatever I dreamt of, become whomever I aspired to be. I had the potential in me. All there was between me and success was just working hard enough towards that goal (whatever that goal might be). But there lies the problem. I, and humans in general, tend to prefer the easy option. As a species, humans aren't very good at working towards a goal we won’t reap the benefits from before an unforeseeable future.
I know all too well how this basic instinct (or lack of it) can harm one's personal growth. I did alright in school, but I know I could have done a hell of a lot better if used more time studying and less time scrolling on Instagram. I am in okay shape, but I can only imagine the shape I would be in if went to the gym consistently over the past few years instead of drinking soda and watching TV. And I can only imagine where I could be 10 years from now if I start on my journey of Personal Self-Improvement.
This is why I have started this project. My nearest group of friends and i decided we would escape our basic instincts and aim higher. To become something better. So, I will use this website to track my own Self-Improvement. Furthermore, I will try to gather as much information on this topic as possible and compare different views on how to improve yourself. I am no expert in any of these topics, so I will link to all the books that help me so you can get a better understanding for yourself.
